American Idol made its television debut in 2001 and quickly became a success. The process begins with singing auditions in various areas of the nation until the judges identify someone worthy of the title. The overwhelming majority of aspirants do not stand a chance, but not for the reasons you believe. Even before the auditions begin, scouts are reported to have been sent to look for outstanding vocalists.

Max and Nev present the popular MTV program. They attempt to figure out “who is actually behind these profiles.” We realize it’s an odd concept, but it’s intriguing since so many people catfish these days. Even yet, the program isn’t quite as honest as it promises to be. The producers are supposed to do everything backward! Catfishers, it seems, are the ones who apply to be on it.
