To be honest, MTV does not have a reputation for producing genuine reality television programs. This show was similar to the ones we described before in the essay. It was released following the film 16 and Pregnant, which depicted what it was like for young mothers after giving birth. A lot of the arrests, breakups, and turmoil that occurred were true. Unfortunately, the producers loved to edit talks to make them seem more dramatic.

Beauty and the Geek
This reality TV program, as the name implies, paired up beautiful women with geeky gentlemen to compete in tasks. The nerds in the program were depicted as awkward guys who couldn’t maintain a conversation with ladies. This was not the case. One of them had a girlfriend at the time. Furthermore, the producers are said to have recruited actors to play many competitors on the program.
