Dido
You certainly had no idea that Dido was born to Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O’Malley Armstrong. When she launched ‘No Angel,’ her debut album, the English singer made it big in 1999. It sold over 21 million copies worldwide and won prizes of all kinds. In 2003, she released a new album and gained further popularity under the pseudonym ‘Life for Rent.’ It had a cover of “Life for Rent” and “White Flag.” Her songs dominated, and rightfully so, the charts in the UK.

Tracy Chapman
It’s amazing how creative Tracy Chapman is. She has several platinum albums under her belt, but she is better known for hit songs such as “Crossroads,” “Fast Car,” and “Give Me One Reason.” After launching her self-titled album, she was nominated for six Grammy awards. She brought home half of it, launching an additional six studio albums. “New Beginning” is now multiplatinum and fetched a Grammy again.
