No One Will Notice It
There was an imperfect bottle in the stock, but there was no way the employee would go back to the stockroom to grab a new one. Instead, they decided to make do with what they had. They pulled out a Sharpie and scribbled on it. This would ensure that the customers would know what they were getting. If we ever saw this at the store, we would have assumed that it was a counterfeited item right away. The only time that we would even consider buying it is if it was the only bottle left on the shelf.
