Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman proved that the off-road-oriented R1200gs is meant to be ridden across challenging terrain during their ‘Long Way Down’ adventure across Europe and Africa. Powered by a partly liquid-cooled 1,1700cc boxer engine, the GS fuel tank holds 50 percent more fuel than ordinary models, giving it a range of 300 miles.
