Velocette Thruxton
The Thruxton was the ultimate evolution of the Venom, first displayed at the Earls Court Show in 1964. Prior to Velocette’s demise in 1971, about 1,108 Thruxtons were produced. Since then, a member of the Velocette Owners has set up a register to prevent the swapping of bogus parts. Thruxtons made an impression on the racing world in 1967, when two machines finished first and second in the 500cc Production TT.
