What more could you want than a 980cc air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine with a top speed of 120mph? BMW Motorrad released this model in 1976 after collaborating with expert stylist Hans Muth to produce something unique. Due to the wind tunnel-designed frame that incorporated the underpowered boxer engine and conservative chassis, the R100S remains one of the most practical long-distance constructed vehicles to this day.
