Marilyn Monroe
Of course, this list would be incomplete if it did not have Marilyn Monroe on it. No matter how many decades have passed since her death, the actress is still among the most recognizable celebrities ever. It has been half a century since she died at the age of 36. A Daily Telegraph contributor said she has “the kind of beauty you find yourself involuntarily taking a moment to marvel at mid-conversation.”
Julie Gibson
Isn’t it amazing that Julie Gibson remains alive and well at the mature age of 105? She has managed to outlive her fellow Golden Era stars even though she was among the oldest celebrities back then. She is the last surviving star who worked with The Three Stooges. It seems rather surreal to hear that she first broke into the industry more than 80 years ago. She reached the height of her career in the ‘40s and established herself as an industry legend. Fun fact: her real name is Gladys Camille Sorey.
Charlize Theron
Can you believe that Charlize Theron was raised on a South African farm?
