Operation Smile
When Mike Wolfe’s daughter Charlie was born, she had a cleft lip and palate. For Wolfe and his family, they were able to easily secure the necessary medical care. Thus, the experience inspired Mike to become an ambassador for the nonprofit group, Operation Smile. If you never heard of the organization, they help provide medical care for children worldwide who are born with cleft lips or cleft palates.

Prince Mongo’s Castle Was A Nightclub
Among some of the strange characters on the show, one fan favorite was Prince Mongo. On American Pickers, Mike and Frank got to pick through this man’s so-called, ‘castle.’ In fact, the castle is Ashler Hall, which used to be a nightclub that Mongo owned and ran. Due to over occupancy, they had to shut it down in the 90’s.
