The amazing Orlando Cruz became the “first openly LGBT professional boxer in the history of the sport.” If that wasn’t amazing enough, Cruz was among the first inducted into the National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame back in 2013. Cruz and his partner Jose Manuel Colon married in 2013.
