The Danish Girl
The Danish Girl follows Lili Elbe, a transgender Danish woman (born Einar Magnus Andreas Wegener) who is known as one of the first identifiable recipients of gender reassignment surgery. Publicly, she would introduce herself as Einar’s sister until the surgery was successfully completed. In 1930, she officially transitioned and started going by the name “Lili.”

Aileen Wuornos, portrayed by Charlize Theron, was a former prostitute who turned into a serial killer and throughout the 80’s and 90’s she murdered six men. Wuornos reported that the men sexually abused her or attempted to while was an escort. Although she claimed it was self defense, she was prosecuted and executed.
