Escape From Alcatraz
Clarence Anglin, John Anglin, and Frank Morris were the only successful inmates to escape from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary in June 1962. Basically they created papier-mâché replicas of their faces and placed the replicas in their beds before they escaped via a deserted utility corridor. Evidence has never confirmed if the escapees actually survived, although the film depicts it as so.
