Dallas Buyers Club
During the mid 80’s Ron Woodroof is diagnosed with AIDS but the treatment for such a disease is seriously under-researched. However, Woodroof smuggles unapproved pharmaceutical drugs into Texas to treat the symptoms, moreover he distributes them to fellow AIDS patients through the “Dallas Buyers Club” all while facing opposition from the FDA. Dr. Eve Saks and Rayon are both fictional characters but the roles were created from real life interviews with transgender AIDS patients, activists, and doctors.
