Breakout Role
After leaving Boston University, Tomei dedicated all of her time and energy into establishing herself in the entertainment industry. At the young age of twenty, she landed her first part in a film! All of her determination finally paid off. Tomei spoke a few words in the 1984 film, The Flamingo Kid. Despite the small role, this opportunity gave her the chance to decide whether acting was really for her. We all know this spoiler…she loved the world of film! She continued to act in films, but also early on she tried other forms of entertainment. Let’s see where else she lent her talents.
