I’m sure that the names on this list will sound familiar to you. After all, these actresses have made a name for themselves in Hollywood, which is quite a feat in itself already! Some might have been the subject of controversy but that doesn’t negate the fact that these women are extraordinary, both on-screen and off-screen. She is the epitome of an accomplished woman, but she also claims that no one will recognize her when she’s barefaced in public!

This Italian beauty might have made her Hollywood debut in the 50’s, but she is still slaying to date. The so-called Italian Marilyn Monroe is also a foodie! According to her, “Everything you see I owe to spaghetti.” We support anyone who knows the value of good food!

Wow, it’s hard to believe that Raquel Welch is now 77 years old! The actress became well-known as a sex symbol and the whole world was in awe of her. After starring in Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years B.C., she reached greater heights. Welch currently runs a health and fitness business.
Sarah Michelle Gellar
For many of us, the character of Buffy Summers was a formative influence. It wasn’t often that we saw girls kicking a$$ on television back then! Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played our beloved vampire slayer, was first discovered at the age of four. Aside from a successful acting career, she also went on to become a businesswoman. She co-founded Foodstirs, a cooking company that produces kid-friendly baking kits and mixes.

If the name doesn’t sound familiar to you, perhaps the name Jo Polniaczek rings bells. Nancy McKeon is indeed the star of the 80’s sitcom The Facts of Life. Her last acting credit was for Love Begins back in 2011.

Did you know that David Hasselhoff discovered Angie Harmon while the two were on the same flight? Yup! Before he helped her get into the acting scene, she was working as a model. Nancy Kerrigan
I’m sure that you know former figure skater Nancy Kerrigan. She made a name for herself after winning bronze during the 1992 Winter Olympics and landing silver at the World Championships in the same year. She went on to win the 1993 US National Championship. It wasn’t a smooth ride to the top, however — she made headlines when rival Tonya Harding’s ex-husband orchestrated an attack against her. Kerrigan was able to recover and even placed silver during the 1994 Winter Olympics. Aside from excelling at winter sports, she was also on Dancing With The Stars during the 24th season.
Jaclyn Smith
Charlie’s Angels might have seen several reboots, but no one will ever be able to replace the original cast. Especially not when we’re talking about Kelly Garrett, played by Jaclyn Smith. Her character was actually the only female lead to have stayed in the series for the entire run. Aside from acting, Smith also launched her own clothing and perfume line.

Here’s another actress from Charlie’s Angels. She replaced Farrah Fawcett on the show and we’ll talk about the other actress later. Now 66 years old, Cheryl Ladd is a familiar face on the small screen. She has been in over 30 TV films! More recently, she guest starred on Chuck and NCIS.

A lot of Charlie’s Angels fans have complained that the show has not been the same ever since Farrah Fawcett left. The actress might be well-known for her legendary hairstyle and red bikini, but don’t forget that she received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations a handful of times! Aside from her film and TV work, she has also acted in Off-Broadway shows. The great actress passed away at the age of 62 from cancer-related complications.

We’re sure you remember Mary Ann Summers from the sitcom Gilligan’s Island. The actress was actually included in TV Guide’s “50 Sexiest Stars of All Time” in 2005! The 79-year-old actress recently made an appearance in a 2016 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.
Marina Sirtis
Now 63 years old, British-American Marina Sirtis is also on the list. She will always be Counselor Deanna Troi to Star Trek: The Next Generation fans. After the TV show and the four films, Sirtis has appeared in films and shows like Crash, Grey’s Anatomy, and NCIS.
Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen
Let’s not forget about the most iconic twins in Hollywood. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen began acting when they were only six months old! The former child actresses have since quit acting and they are now known for their fashion empire. Now 32, the Olsen twins are some of the most successful women in the industry.
Maureen McCormick
61-year-old Maureen McCormick might be well-known for playing Marcia Brady on the sitcom The Brady Bunch. Aside from the iconic role, she has also performed on stage, released an autobiography, and recorded four albums. Impressive!

The actress is best known for the sitcoms The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. It would probably be more accurate to call her a cultural icon. She was able to break the gender conventions at the time and her work left a huge impact on women at the time. It’s unfortunate that she passed away in 2017 at 80 years old.
Loretta Swit
Even if you haven’t watched it, we’re sure you are familiar with the classic show M*A*S*H. One of the most memorable characters on the show is Major Hot Lips Houlihan, who is portrayed by Loretta Swit. The next time you walk by the Hollywood Walk of Fame, don’t forget to look for her star!

Melissa Gilbert’s character started when she portrayed Laura Ingalls Wilder on Little House on the Prairie. She would later star in Little House on the Prairie, the Musical, this time as Caroline “Ma” Ingalls. The former model mostly performed on stage, but she also did television work for some time. The most prominent role she had was for Get Smart. Aside from her work as an actor, she is also a published author. While it has been a while since she acted, she is still active in the industry.
