Bahamian-American Roxie Roker made a name for herself when she portrayed Helen Willis on the sitcom The Jeffersons. Moreover, she was part of the first interracial pairing on primetime TV at the time! She is also the mother of musician Lenny Kravitz. The actress died of breast cancer in 1995.
