Yet, when she married Mike Brady, her named was changed from Carol Martin to Carol Brady. Thus, the writers were able to sneak in that hint to show her was divorced and not a widow.

Some may think shady, others innocent youth mischief. However, Olsen retold this tale about McCormick when asked to say a funny story about her costar. She told about McCormick’s shoplifting adventures as a youth. Olsen revealed that a young McCormick and her friend Susan Cowsill, part of a band during the time, got caught shoplifting once.
