Rushed To Hospital
Once he received the call, Karen was advised to go to a hospital. She did, but not immediately. Later that month, she was connected to an IV drip and Karen was able to regain 30 pounds in a matter of two months. She left in November after announcing that she was cured of the disorder. Everyone disagreed with the decision, but Karen was determined to check out of the hospital.

Off The Radar
After her release from the hospital, she jumped right back into Hollywood and under the spotlight. She attended the celebration of the 25th year of the Grammy Awards on January 1, 1983. That was her last public appearance. She would also return to the studio immediately.
