Karen’s dwindling weight was influencing her appearance and fans were shocked when they noticed. Although fans sometimes outwardly expressed their concerns for her, they thought perhaps she was suffering from cancer or another disease.

Richard Moves On
Obviously the loss of his sister was devastating, but in 1984 he took strides to build a family. He married his first cousin (she was adopted) and they had five children. One of their children is Mindi Karen, and another child received the name of Kristi Lynn – the name Karen wanted for her own child.
