Now, this has to be one of the more absurd rules out of the bunch. Apparently, the Royals are not allowed to play the game Monopoly. Why, you ask? Well, in 2008, the Duke of York called in a “vicious” pasttime, thus, the Queen’s subordinates were told to avoid such frivolous, playful activity. Next, this rule would really be a bummer for family vacations.

If the Royal Family wants a vacation, there’s some serious planning involved. That’s because the family cannot travel all together on the same boat, train or plane. According to the Palace rules, this would prevent potential heirs from tragically dying together in a transportation accident. Thus, it’s not likely that Kate Middleton travels with both Prince William and her father-in-law, Prince Charles, together.
