It’s common, but when you find yourself out in the middle of the ocean and notice sharks heading for deeper waters, expect a tropical storm or hurricane to approach. They likely sense the barometric pressure drop that accompanies the weather disturbance so they try and go out of the danger zone. It might not be what Jaws taught you, but sharks do not actually go out attacking humans on the regular. They actually make their safety a priority, so do not go around believing that those photos of sharks in streets and flooded malls are real! These are smart creatures who have evolved for millions of years, after all.
