She Calls It Hallelujah Lane
Fitting into the Biblical theme of the Promised Land, Oprah named one of the main pathways in the garden Hallelujah Lane. It has a white Greco-Roman statue that is perfectly polished and is set inside a nook that’s framed by wrought-iron arches. Whatever is around it has an even deeper meaning. Sombreuil roses weave through the arches, and smaller iceberg roses surround the statue itself. Around the entire nook are white hydrangea bushes which are intentionally placed as a tribute to Oprah’s grandmother who raised her for part of her childhood and had similar flowers outside her home in Mississippi.
