The California live oak trees represent local vegetation and were planted throughout the garden in Oprah’s mansion. There are twelve of them in total, and the number itself has a specific meaning. The idea of having twelve oaks brings Gone With The Wind to mind, but Oprah sees them with a different meaning. She christened them as her Twelve Apostles. She references them a lot in her Instagram posts as they’re one of her favorite features in her home.
