The 2018 look that Grammy-nominated singer Andra Day sported definitely got a lot of people’s attention with the array of colors and materials the outfit had. She was already a head-turner in her dress, but she also caught people’s eyes when she lay down on the carpet! The singer added more drama by choosing to style her hair this way. Her voluminous ponytail was full of loose waves and had gorgeous decorations of small pink flowers. This girly look is totally original, we think.

This isn’t the first time this elegant gold and black number has made its appearance on the red carpet. Rita Moreno first wore this boatneck gown back in 1962. Her performance in West Side Story earned her the award for Best Supporting Actress in that year’s Oscars. Fifty-six years later, the star chose to sport the same outfit and completed her look with lovely black satin gloves, which were opera length. We simply adore this look and love her decision. The woman looks amazing!
