While there isn’t much about Meghan and Ben’s early days as a couple, we do know that before they got engaged in 2017, Ben earned his place in the news thanks to a few controversies he was at the center of. The two ended up getting married on November 21, 2017, just weeks after Meghan announced their engagement. The ceremony took place right before sunset as the McCain’s family lodge in Sedona, Arizona. About the wedding, Meghan said, “I wanted a western country wedding — my aisle was cowhide. I want to give a big special shout-out to Shooter Jennings for singing. I pulled Clay Aiken out of retirement to sing and got my dad to cry.” As for their marriage, Meghan made it very clear that she and Ben couldn’t be happier together, “I married for love and my husband carried me through my dad’s cancer.”
