The Carpenters were very much the people’s kind of band. They even had their own softball team which they used to raise money for the Middlesex County Cancer Society. Karen herself was the star pitcher of her team which went up against another celebrity team.

The Carpenters Graceland
In 2008, the Carpenters’ house was supposed to be demolished. Fans rallied outside of the residence which they consider as the “Graceland” of the Carpenters. To this day the home is still where it stood back then. Who said fans can’t get anything done?
