After intensive workout sessions and a strict diet plan with her personal trainer, Karen wasn’t pleased with the results she was seeing. She had lost the so-called paunch she had beforehand, but there was something new she didn’t like. With the low calorie diet that packed in protein and good carbs, Karen was gaining muscle, and she didn’t like that. Karen fired her personal trainer.

Once again looking at herself from afar caused her to become disgusted with her image. It was while watching the Carpenters on the Bob Hope special on TV. When she said that she had put on weight again, Richard actually agreed with her. Karen promised that she would “do something about it”, and went out to buy a hip cycle which she used regularly.
