Unsurprisingly, Jim Morrison was known to improvise on stage with some spoken word poetry while the band played. Seriously, Jim Morrison was amazingly talented and everyone could tell from his lyrics, he was a true poet.

Much of Jim Morrison’s writings were about his partner, Pamela Courson. From his poetry to lyrics, you can find a lot of work dedicated to her. In particular, he wrote The New Creatures poetry book for Pamela Courson. Also, the songs “Blue Sunday,” “Indian Summer,” “Queen of the Highway,” and “Love Street” were written about Courson.
