According to Luke, he had to learn how to get over disappointment while he was building his house. He claims that one such moment was his “counter-top fail.” Apparently, the young boy used colored glass for a lacquered countertop. When he began to pour the lacquer, it ended up being “too watery”!

However, Luke was not discouraged by the error. Instead, he decided to make the most out of the situation. The lacquer was somehow able to create a bond and this connected the counter to the wall. Luke merely attached a regular counter surface over the lacquer one. It’s a good thing that there was a hinge for storage space. Whew!
