More recently, he has appeared on the small screen as police commissioner Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods. Here’s an interesting tidbit: it is not unusual for him to be saluted by actual officers whenever he steps out of the set. Officers are meant to salute every police commissioner, so it’s a testament to his terrific acting skills that he gets mistaken for a real one. Props!
