Possible Names
Over several years while Mike was trying to get his series picked up, he made a running list of titles. However, once the History Channel wanted the show, Mike needed to make a final decision. Thus he pulled from his list of catchy titles. Some of these ideas include, “Mr. Picker,” “Flip This Junk,” and “Vintage Recycle.” Obviously, he felt American Pickers was best and we can’t argue with that!

Mike the Bike Racer
From when he was little, Mike Wolfe love picking. However, he did not imagine all those years that picking could ever turn into his career. So, he turned to other career options. When he was in his 20’s, Wolfe worked as a pro bike racer! In addition, Wolfe owned two bike stores. From the money Wolfe got from selling a vintage motorcycle to a collector, he was able to finance opening those two stores.
