This cancellation after six seasons really upset fans. With a megastar like Tim Allen, they did not understand why ABC chose to end it. Actually, the show was the second most watching ABC show for the 2016-2017 season. Allen even tweeted, “Stunned and blindsided by the network I called home for the last six years.” Others speculated that Allen’s words on Jimmy Kimmel may have influenced the decision. He compared his political identity of being a Republican in Hollywood to living in Germany during Nazi rule.

Another blow for Tyler Perry. This show lasted four seasons on OWN. Although two shows of his on OWN were canceled, another one was picked up. So good news for Perry fans! The new show is called The Paynes, which is a spin-off of House of Payne.
