Campbell opted to put his Boeing 727 airplane back together in the forest of Hillsboro, Oregon for a couple of simple reasons. First, he got a job offer in the area following his graduation in the 70’s. Second, he loves the area’s greenery. On his website, he wrote, “I like the area and it’s very green and Oregon is a little independent minded which appealed to me. It’s a country setting, it’s very nice. It’s more than enough for the aircraft.”
