Ingrid Bergman is a Swedish actress who made a name for herself when she starred opposite Humphrey Bogart in the classic film called Casablanca. The truth is that she had already been working on German and Swedish films since the ‘30s! Her incredible international appeal has been so wide that a biographer has taken to describing the celebrity as “arguably the most international star in the history of entertainment.” Anatole Litvak, one of the directors she worked with, said that “through all her troubles she held to the conviction that she had been true to herself and it made her quite a person.” In 1982, she lost her battle to breast cancer.
