This dining room might make you think of Beauty and the Beast because of all the candelabras. The design in this room is tasteful and simple. The wood table was clearly polished very carefully to the point where it’s reflective. When Oprah was remodeling the mansion, she sold a lot of her possessions. Among those items was a poster from her 1985 Steven Spielberg-directed film, The Color Purple. This poster sold for $4,000. The collective earnings from the sale amounted to $600,000 and went towards the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation College Fund.
