Different Timeline

Naturally, the film is on a different timeline than in real life. Fitting the entire story into a 2-hour long movie was a difficult feat. Some of the timelines, therefore, had to be adjusted. For example, in the movie, Michael is picked up on the side of the road and then joins the family. This didn’t really happen in real life, they saw him on the street and didn’t stop.
